Peratech Relocates R&D to NETPark


Richmond, Yorkshire, UK – 15 September 2021.

Peratech, a world-leading tactile-sensing solutions company, has relocated its global R&D labs from its current location near Richmond, North Yorkshire, to NETPark, Sedgefield, County Durham. 

NETPark (www.northeasttechnologypark.com) is one of the UK’s premier science, engineering and technology parks with world-class laboratory, office, and clean room space, ensuring its tech-industry occupants are situated to take advantage of the ever-growing tech ecosystem in the North East. The technology park is home to the High-Value Manufacturing Catapult, managed by CPI. On-site at CPI are The National Innovation Centre for Printable Electronics, The National Innovation Centre for Formulations, and the Durham University Research Institute.

Peratech CTO, Tolis Voutsas commented, “Peratech chose NETPark not only for its purpose-built lab facilities and innovation centres.  It’s an ideal location for accelerating Peratech’s next-generation materials development, it’s close to industry-leading tech companies, and it’s a hub for a wide range of technical and creative talent.”

The new location positions Peratech to explore much deeper cross-company collaborations with other NETPark residents and build on its existing strong ties with Durham University.

Although R&D has moved to County Durham, Peratech’s global headquarters will remain close by in North Yorkshire.
